Pregnancy, Labor and
Postpartum
PREGNANCY MASSAGE relieves muscular tension
and structural discomforts, enhances body awareness, and offers
emotional support to reduce anxiety and stress. Practiced
as an adjunct therapy, pregnancy massage provides soothing
and nurturing touch with focussed, individualized attention.
LABOR MASSAGE is taught to couples/support people
privately or in groups. The emotional support it provides
relieves anxiety, and the valuable pain control it offers
leads to a more relaxed and assuring labor process.
POSTPARTUM MASSAGE helps the mothers body return
to pre-pregnancy functioning by addressing structural imbalances,
rehabilitating skin, muscles, and organs, and by reducing
pain. It also can alleviate the strain of carrying and caring
for a newborn child.
